Duraflo DEF Dispensing Systems

Accurate. Your vehicles have the precise amount of diesel fluid they need at any given speed. No alternate periods of dryness or overflow. No wasted diesel fluid. No extra expense. You don't pay an extra dime to get the extra mile.

Built specifically for your unique fleet vehicle requirements. Duraflo's in-house engineering department custom manufactures your diesel emission fluid storage and dispensing system. From simple metered fill systems to in-garage diesel fleet maintenance. By the first manufacturer of DEF systems in the U.S. With a trained service department available to give you 24/7 support.

Compliance. This practical, functional, made-in-the-USA solution for your SCR diesel engines meets the stricter EPA standards for NOx emissions now … and is designed to change and adapt to equipment upgrades and compliance standards in the future.

A urea dispensing system by any other name doesn’t power a diesel like DuraFlo

Urea dispensing systems. Diesel emission fluid. Selective catalytic reduction. DEF pumps. Urea tanks. Compliance.

If we’re speaking your language, than the new buzz word for your diesel engines is DuraFlo.

Selective Catalytic Reduction engines require the same thing to keep your fleet on the road and in compliance — a steady flow of diesel exhaust fluid called urea to convert engine emissions into harmless levels of nitrogen and water vapor.

Having a system that works with your SCR engines to accurately meter and dispense the urea solution into the urea tanks on your fleet vehicles is paramount to meeting EPA lower emissions standards.

ACI is the only company in existence today specializing in fluid control systems that maintain both ISO9001 and QS-9000 TE certification.

DuraFlo is your solution.

The compact metering and dispensing equipment not only has a small on-vehicle footprint, it is also easily modified... and one of a kind.

With DuraFlo, your fleet runs on (and on and on and on...) a cleaner combustion engine that lowers diesel emissions to levels that exceed the 2010 regulations.

The innovative, market-leading technology is here.

F.A.Q.s

What is DEF?
DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid or Diesel Emissions Fluid) is a solution of urea and pure water blended to a specific concentration (32% urea). Urea is a natural chemical that has been used as fertilizer in farming applications for many years. DEF is used in SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) engines as a key component in reducing diesel NOx emissions.
Why do I need DEF?
In 2010, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will require significant reductions in NOx emissions for all on-road diesel vehicles. SCR engine technology is a widely-accepted industry solution for compliance to the new EPA standards. DEF is an essential component to SCR technology.
How much DEF fluid will I use?
Dependent upon the function of the particular SCR engine (according to the engine manufacturer) the probable usage will be between 2% and 3% by volume of the fuel usage. So, for every 100 gallons of diesel fuel required by your engine, you will use 2 to 3 gallons of DEF. This is controlled by NOx detectors in the exhaust system and the vehicle’s monitoring system.
How do I know what level system I need?
The ACI service sales team can review your application with you and recommend the most practical equipment set to meet your specific needs. This may be as little as a drum pump, with hose and appropriate nozzle, to a full dispensing unit system with bulk storage. Let us talk with you about the options.
Does DEF freeze or overheat?
DEF freezes at 12 degrees F. There is evidence that overheating can degrade the fluid, but at up to 140 degrees F, the useable life of the fluid is around 18 months. ACI can provide enhancements within the dispensing and storage systems to protect your DEF supply if your equipment will be exposed to the weather.
